Graphene-Embedded Performance Yarn is a next-generation functional yarn engineered by permanently integrating graphene into the polymer matrix during melt spinning, making its functionality intrinsic to the fiber rather than dependent on surface treatments. The resulting yarn combines the lightweight flexibility and textile versatility of synthetic fibers with graphene’s high thermal conductivity, mechanical reinforcement, electrical conductivity, UV protection, and bacteriostatic properties, enabling improved thermal management, durability, freshness, and year-round comfort. The technology is designed for performance apparel, activewear, outdoor and sports textiles, socks and compression wear, bedding, upholstery, and other technical textile applications, with functionality that remains durable through repeated laundering. Testing presented in the technology overview demonstrates an 88% increase in thermal conductivity at 20 wt% graphene loading compared with the unfilled polymer, highlighting its potential for advanced thermal-management applications.
