Magnetic Textiles are advanced functional fabrics engineered by embedding magnetic particles directly within polymer fibers, yarns, coatings, or textile structures to create textiles with controllable magnetic properties. Unlike conventional surface-applied magnetic treatments, embedded magnetic functionality can be designed as an intrinsic part of the material, providing greater durability and enabling magnetic performance to be tailored through particle type, concentration, distribution, fiber architecture, and textile construction.
These materials can be engineered for applications including magnetic closures and fastening, modular textile components, sensor positioning, wearable interfaces, adaptive garments, and selected soft-robotics and technical-textile applications where mild magnetic interaction is sufficient.
